dr hab. Marcin Marcinko

Adjunct professor, Coordinator of the JU Center for International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights; chairman of the National Commission for International Humanitarian Law at the Main Board of the Polish Red Cross; member of the International Law Association (Polish Group) and the International Association of Professionals in Humanitarian Assistance and Protection; winner of the Stanisław Kutrzeba prize in the field of human rights protection in Europe; scholarship holder of the Max Planck Institute of Public Comparative Law and International Law in Heidelberg (2005-2006); participant in the research program of the Hague Academy of International Law (2006); associate of the Institute for Strategic Studies in Krakow, Center for European Studies of the Jagiellonian University, as well as the Military Center for Citizenship Education; lecturer and co-organizer of the Polish School of International Humanitarian Law of Armed Conflict in Radziejowice; author of a number of publications devoted to legal issues of international security, in particular the fight against terrorism in international law and issues related to international humanitarian law of armed conflicts.
